Since the pandemic, our approach to work and workwear has become more fluid. Playing with the concept of uniform, I have adapted a suit shifting away from lapels towards a zip front and collar. The pockets are the same dimensions as an iPhone, the chosen tool for most working people, both on the jacket and the work trousers. I intend for this to be a hybrid of workwear and office-wear. Denim, a fabric historically worn by labourers during the industrial revolution, has been elevated by tailoring techniques. I have replaced patch pockets with inseam pockets, an acetate lining and a single topstitch for a more elegant finish.
Shoes by Alexander McQueen, the top is a leather loafer and the sole is based on a workboot.
