This project came into fruition due to a desire to innovate the way we consume clothes. By working artistically I wanted the end garment to be not just a product to be consumed but something that could be appreciated through it's designed process. By making something that could be admired I wanted to challenge the capacity of garments in their ability to belong in a gallery and not just a catwalk. As an artist I felt that the work could reflect the current times, using my breath as a tool. To illustrate the dilemma of unsustainable mass production and consumption within the fashion industry, I made 'concrete mirrors'.
